Before I delete my sister’s account, I want to thank a few people who supported me and showed me immense love during this incredibly difficult time. You didn’t just offer words of comfort—you brought food, helped me understand Scottish law, sold Ania’s calendars, helped clean her house, and so much more.
Magda, Ewelina, Iza, Ania and her family, Dougie and Sally — thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I want to give special thanks to the three musketeers: Denise, Ruth, and Anna.
Denise Nixon, thank you for raising money for Bradley — it has been an incredible help for him. Thank you for taking in Ania’s sheep and looking after her things in the field. I know Ania would be happy knowing it was you. Thank you as well for visiting me and supporting me during this time. I will never forget it.
you were the first person to visit Ania in the hospital when she gave birth to Bradley, and you were also the first to be there for him when Ania passed away. You are his true friend, his godmother, but above all, his family. I can’t thank you enough for taking care of Ania’s beloved horse. You sacrificed your free time to look after Misty, and I never expected that from you. I don’t know if I will ever be able to thank you enough.
Anna Lesniak you’re my favorite criminal — you know what I mean. Thank you for knocking on Ania’s door and taking care of me: advising me, feeding me, and going with me to collect Ania’s ashes. I couldn’t have done it without you. You took care of Penny and brought her safely to Poland for Bradley. Jesteś moją teraźniejszością.
As for Bradley — with his dad’s consent, he has moved to Poland. He is slowly recovering, surrounded by his two younger cousins. We have good days and bad days, but we are facing everything together. We’ve finished renovating his room, and today his beloved dog, Penny, finally arrived from Scotland.
Thank you all once again — not only for your help, but for being part of Ania’s story.
I like to imagine Ania fishing with our dad right now, arguing as usual — Ania insisting every fish be released back into the water, while Dad would happily eat them all.
