Join the High Life Highland Countryside Rangers for a Lichen Workshop at Fortrose Library on Wednesday 2nd September, 3pm to 5pm.

Perfect for beginners, nature enthusiasts and anyone curious about the natural world, this friendly session will introduce you to the incredible diversity of lichens and teach you how to start recognising different species in the field.

Had a lovely Big Pollinator Count @ Lils Garden Grantown Library today. We even got some pollinators 🐝🪲🐞🦋 as the sun, very obligingly, came out to play! Such fun had by all...

Had a very soggy Minibeast Hunt at The Highland Folk Museum yesterday. Not many (any) pollinators but we did find wood lice, worms, slugs, millipedes and centipedes. Oh. And the odd ground beetle. Thanks to all who joined in!

A wonderful turn out in the rain for our Spotting Swifts Walk in Inverness City Centre on Sunday. The swifts turned up too but very hard to photograph when they fly up to 69mph! Thanks to John P and Thomas for their expert knowledge.

Had a fab (if hot!) Red Squirrel Treasure Trail at the Highland Folk Museum today! Lots of folk about and lots of sunshine. Made for lots of smiles!
