Full of books, some Little Free Library bookmarks (10 in the pot just now), and glorious sunshine! ☀️

I hope this is a positive addition to the community to take books and donate books, as an avid reader myself I hope this spreads some of my passion for reading to others 🫶🏼

Little Free Library Croy is ready to go next week 📚

📍 Outside Croy Community Garden

I’m awaiting a sign which is in the process of being made, I can put it out tomorrow without the sign but just looking for some feedback whether people want it right now!

Can’t wait to get going with this, it will be a lovely way for the community to take and donate books 📖

Hi everyone! 👋🏼

I’ve got everything ready (thank you for all your donations) for the little free library in Croy, but unfortunately every time I’ve been wanting to put the cabinet out we’ve had a bout of bad weather or a storm. It feels never ending at the moment ☔️

With the teething problems that comes with new ventures, I think I will hold off until March time to get a good run of weather (hopefully) for the library. I wouldn’t want to put it out at this time of year and have any damages to books etc.

Hopefully a few months and the time will be right to get the books out and share the love of reading! 📚

Enjoy the cosy indoor reading over winter and I will be back with an update in 2026 📖✨

Thank you for all the donations so far. I have paint to upcycle the little cabinet and have some lovely bookmarks for the first lot of people to use the Little Free Library.

My son is turning 1 next week so we are deep in celebrations but I’m hoping the library will be up and running the week after this! 💚

I appreciate all the book donations and will be sure to update this page with opening dates 📖

✨ Still taking donations of adult fiction ✨

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far to start off the Little Free Library! I’m pausing donations of kids books at the moment as I have lots!

Once the library is up and running it should run itself with people taking & dontating books so I’m very grateful to those who have helped me out to begin with 🙏🏼

Hoping to be sorted to open in the next few weeks in the community garden, all updates will be posted on here 📚

Little Free Library at Croy, coming soon! 📖

In the coming months I will be setting up a Little Free Library in Croy Community Garden. This is something I have been wanting to do for a while, there are 4 Little Free Libraries in the Black Isle area and none local to us.

The idea of a Little Free Library is to have books of all genres free to the community to take, and it can also be used as a space to donate.

I am currently seeking out any donations people can provide to get the library started. If you have any books you would like to donate please contact me at Little Free Library Croy and I will arrange to collect them.

As an avid reader I spend a lot of my time in a book and I hope I can share my love of books with others through this little venture.

I really hope this will be something that will benefit the community. The best books are shared 📚
