Annie Kenyon Architects is an award-winning practice based in rural Aberdeenshire which carries out design-led restoration, conversion, extension and new-build projects with an emphasis on sustainability. AKA endeavours to use locally sourced traditional and salvaged materials whenever possible and promotes the use of renewable energy systems in both restoration and new-build projects. AKA maintains that existing redundant rural architecture can be put to re-use for residential or commercial purposes through sensitive conversion based on a sound understanding of traditional materials and techniques and the potential of new interventions.

| AT Awards Finalist |

ak|a are thrilled to be attending the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) AT Awards 2026 tonight in London, as our Seahaven commission is a finalist for Small Project of the Year.

We’re delighted to be included alongside an impressive and varied range of projects throughout the UK. Great to see a small but carefully considered residential design recognised.

| Postcards from ak|a |

We’ve been enjoying a little time away, soaking up the sunshine and recharging the batteries - but now we’re back.

From beach days to city breaks to the royal mile, we thought we’d share a few snapshots from the team’s summer adventures.

Now it’s back to business, and ready for a busy few months ahead.

Since the Great British Bake Off is back, we thought we'd share our own baking efforts...

Meet Colin the Contractor, crafted by one of our creative team members. While disqualified for their so called ‘baking efforts’ in our bake off, we reckon they would get a handshake from Mr Hollywood for their marketing genius!

Colin the Contractor... coming to a M&S Store near you soon.
