Saturday marked the start of , and with the hot weather on its way, we understand the temptation for you to cool off in the water.

Tragically, many incidents involve children and young people, showing just how quickly things can go wrong around open water.

We're proud of the range of water activities at Alton, but entering the water in undesignated areas can be life-threatening. Cold water, mud and strong currents can catch anyone out - please don’t enter the water unless involved in a planned activity or in an area with lifeguards.

If you're looking to enjoy the water safely this summer, there is plenty to try - from windsurfing to paddleboarding, as well as our Sunday morning open water swimming sessions. Or if you fancy something more adventurous, why not book an hour on our inflatable aqua park.
