Half way through the school year already! Hereβs what weβve been up to with sports so far:
Football:
Our Boys βAβ team have played a lot of matches and tournaments so far this year. They went unbeaten in the School Games tournament, winning 3, drawing 2 and not conceding a single goal, but it wasnβt quite enough to get to the Final that day. They then took part in the EFL Kids Cup at Portman Road, this time making it all the way to the final, but unfortunately losing on penalties. After exiting the IPSSA Cup in the first round, the boys have found some really good form in the IPSSA League. Winning 3 and drawing 1, with some very impressive performances. 4 more games to go in the league!
Our Boys βBβ team played in the IPSSA Cup but also went out in the first round. Still a good experience for all playing with most of the team consisting of year 5s.
Our Girls team have had a great set of results to follow up a positive School Games tournament for them. They are through to the IPSSA Cup quarter finals after victory over Morland and Holbrook. They have also won their first 2 IPSSA league games!
We also took a mixed team to the School Games festival, all boys and girls had a great time representing the school.
Netball:
A perfect start for our βAβ team so far, winning all 3 of their IPSSA Cup group stage matches & winning all 3 of their IPSSA league games so far. The team have 2 league games left and are through to the quarter-finals of the cup.
Our βBβ team also had a fantastic set of results in the Cup, winning 2 & drawing 1 of their to win their group and also progress to the quarter finals!
Basketball:
Lots of basketball events recently, we had a group of boys & girls who took part in the School Games U9s & U11s Festival, all having a great time and representing the school fantastically. We then took a team to the School Games U11 Tournament, the team won 4 out of their 5 games and narrowly missed out on winning the competition by goal difference (just 1 basket difference!).
SportsHall Athletics:
Lots of boys & girls from year 5 & 6 done a fantastic job performing in this School Games competition, after some fantastic running and field events, we finished 4th out of 23 schools, the highest ranking small school for a third year in a row at this event.
Other:
We also attended the School Games Festivals for U9s Dodgeball & U11s Bowling! All the children had a great time and again represented the school superbly.
Well done to everyone involved & still plenty more to come in the second half of the year! β½οΈπππ€ΎββοΈπββοΈββ‘οΈπ³
