November was a month of recognition for our teams! We were proud to attend Vertas Group’s annual Making the Difference Awards, where our Recruitment Lead, Victoria Butcher, was awarded Colleague of the Year, and the Opus Teach team took home Team of the Year, a fantastic testament to their hard work and dedication. 👏

Alongside the celebrations, we went live with our new website and attended careers fairs in Rugby and Northampton. We connected with students from Rugby College alongside Rugby Borough Council and supported care leavers at an event hosted by Northamptonshire Children's Trust, showcasing the opportunities and guidance available to them.

It was a privilege to attend the 10th annual Vertas Group Making the Difference Awards on Friday, 7th November. The elegant black-tie event brought together guests to honour outstanding achievements across the Group.

We are thrilled to share that our teams’ dedication and hard work were recognised during the evening, with our colleagues proudly receiving two awards. 🏆✨

October was a month for events! Last month, we hosted a thought-provoking event on Local Government Reorganisation, featuring expert speakers who shared real insights into what transformation truly looks like. 🔍

We also attended the WMJobs Public Sector Careers Expo, where we connected with candidates and showcased the wide range of public sector career opportunities available. 💼

Additionally, we had the pleasure of attending the Local Government East event, which offered valuable workshops and talks designed to support HR leads through upcoming changes. Our Associate Director, Sam Goody, delivered an engaging session on temporary recruitment during periods of transition.

September kicked off a busy period with the launch of our latest cohort in collaboration with LABC - Local Authority Building Control, recruiting candidates for their Trainee Building Inspector programme across England and Wales. Additionally, Opus Teach welcomed schools back for the new academic year.

On Saturday, colleagues came together for our annual trip to Newmarket Races! 🙌

🍂 Autumn has arrived, and so has our August round-up!

Last month was all about giving back to our communities. Our Opus Teach team rolled up their sleeves and transformed local school play areas, making them more colourful, fun, and welcoming for children. Meanwhile, our qualified social work team delivered over 100 food parcels to council-run Family Hubs in Walsall, helping support families in need with essential supplies.
