🪵 Make space for wildlife this Garden Wildlife Week!

Why not create a deadwood pile in your garden or even a single hardwood log can support a surprising variety of wildlife 🐞🐛

It’s especially important for the stag beetle (as shown in the picture) which is a European protected species that calls Ipswich home. They rely on decaying wood to survive, and your garden could make all the difference ❤️

The main exit from the car park can only be accessed via either the lift or the stairs.

Until repairs are completed, wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, and anyone using pushchairs will need to use the alternative route via Claude Street new Crown House which offers step free access to the town centre.

🏠 Your new rights: Renting open to everyone.

Private renting is entering a new chapter. Landlords can no longer deny you the chance to rent a suitable home just because you’re on benefits or have children.

Have your say in the next chapter for Ipswich as consultation launches on proposals for a Town Council.

Ipswich residents, businesses and community organisations are being urged to take part in an important consultation that will help shape how the town is represented and run in the future.
The consultation, which opens today and runs until 9am on the 29 June 2026, builds on strong support from the first phase held last year. During that initial stage, 83% of respondents backed the creation of a town council, with 77% supporting a single council covering the whole of Ipswich.
