Join us for a magical night as we officially begin the countdown to Christmas and enjoy a fantastic programme of live entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

For 2026, will be leading the festivities with a special performance from the cast of 2026 festive pantomime, Snow White. 🎶

Members of the public are invited to attend the annual Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day service in Christchurch Park.

On Sunday 8 November, military representatives and youth organisations will march through the centre of Ipswich to the service, starting from Elm Street at approximately 10.15am. Members of the public are welcome to watch the parade.

Following on, the service will continue at the Cenotaph in Christchurch Park. Starting at 10.50am, the service will be attended by veterans, civic leaders, members of the armed forces, cadets, and other organisations.

On Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November at 10.50am, veterans and children from local schools will come together at the Fields of Honour in the Old Cemetery and at the Cenotaph in Christchurch Park for services of remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The sounding of maroons will mark the start and end of a two-minute silence at 11am.

Genesis Orwell Mencap will have a demolishment of an old timber building, and resurfacing works to improve accessibility.

Highfield Nursery School - Friends of Highfield will replace their climbing frame.

The Butterfly Centre Limited will install a noise reduction system, re-surfacing, installation of a patio area and pergolas.

Landseer Road Methodist Church will replace the floor in their church hall.

🤝Cleaner air is a team effort 💚

Improving air quality takes action from lots of different organisations and communities working together.

Through Ipswich's Air Quality Action Plan, alongside our partners, we've delivered and supported initiatives including:
✅ Anti-idling campaigns
✅ School programmes
✅ Sustainable travel projects
✅ Electric vehicle charging points
✅ Cleaner vehicle fleets.

These efforts have helped improve air quality across the town over many years.

No single action makes the difference on its own, but together we're helping create a cleaner, healthier Ipswich.

🚧 Further pause to planned repair works at Stoke Bridge Skatepark

Unfortunately, for today we've again had to suspend the start of planned works at the skatepark.

This is due to circumstances outside of our control. We hope that our contractors will soon be able to access the site to carry out these specialist repairs.

Stoke Bridge Skatepark will be closed for two days when this work is carried out.

ℹ We'll provide an update on when that will be as soon as it's confirmed.

Ipswich Community Church & Centre will repair and restore windows and frames sensitively.

Murrayside Community Centre CIC will install new flooring in the sports hall, upgrade heating & lighting, and install solar panels.

The Parochial Church Council of Holy Trinity Church Ipswich will have renovation works to their kitchen, including new appliances and flooring in the Café.

The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of St. Mary & St. Botolph’s Whitton, Ipswich will have a flat roof repair and insulation, replacing windows and doors, upgrading heating system.

🛹 UPDATE on Stoke Bridge Skatepark closure for repairs

We now expect that work on urgent specialist repairs will start here tomorrow, Tuesday 13 October.

Stoke Bridge Skatepark will be closed for two days while this work is carried out.

It will help keep the skatepark safe and in the best possible condition and has been welcomed by the local skate community. We appreciate everyone's patience while these improvements are completed.

We'll see you back at the park soon!
