What a wonderful summer we have had! We are now in the last week of our August programme but there are still a few interesting opportunities available:

🚶Guided walks with the Tourist Guides Association - join Eve Hewing tomorrow (Weds) for a guided walk around Glorious Christchurch Park, ending with tea and cake at the Chart Room, or on Thursday follow a route from Blackfriars to the Waterfront discovering the past as you go.

🎶Enjoy a free informal recital from the Institute's Flute Ensemble, in the Fitzgerald Room in Admiral's House. Drop in between 11am-2.30pm.

📣 On Thursday morning, extra spaces have been released for the second of Mike Chapman's fascinating talks about the Spanish civil war.

📖 On Friday, join David Clare for a study day introducing Zola's Rougon-Macquart, or come to our final talk of the summer to learn about a local 18th century eccentric, Phillip Thicknesse.

All these can be booked in person at the library, or online via our website: www.ipswichinstitute.org.uk/august
