The A14 at the Orwell Bridge is now open in both directions.

The A14 eastbound has now reopened following a fatal collision on the Orwell Bridge this morning, Friday 16 October. Westbound currently remains closed between Wherstead (jct 56) and Nacton (jct 57) while enquiries continue.

Police are appealing for help to locate a man wanted on recall to prison.

He has links to Felixstowe, Thurrock and Barking.

A male has died following a collision on the Orwell Bridge on the A14 near Ipswich. The road remains closed between Wherstead (jct 56) and Nacton (jct 57). Police were first called by the ambulance service at 3.41am this morning, Friday 16 October.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.

Police are appealing for help in tracing an 18-year-old man, last seen in Ipswich.

Joel Sousa was last seen at approximately 3.20am today, Friday 16 October in the Heath Road / Foxhall Road area of town.

Joel is described as black and was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms and a white T-shirt with `Los Angeles’ printed on it. He is not believed to be wearing any shoes.

Officers are extremely concerned for Joel and are asking anyone who has seen him or who has any information on where he may be to contact police quoting Missing report 518238
