A 22-year-old man has been charged with six offences following a robbery from an ice cream van on Aldeburgh seafront last Saturday, 20 June.

The vendor, a man, was reportedly threatened by another man who damaged his phone before stealing a quantity of cash.
The victim sustained a minor injury to his arm and was shaken by the incident.

A missing teenage girl from Oulton Broad, Lowestoft has been found.
Rachel, 17, had last been seen on Tuesday evening, 23 June, but has now been located.
Police would like to thank members of the public and media for their assistance with this appeal.

An amber weather warning is in place for Suffolk, meaning high temperatures are likely to impact daily life and increase demand on emergency services.

Please follow and share the simple safety advice below to keep yourself and others safe — and help reduce pressure on emergency responders. ☀️

🛟 Stay safe around water
🛑 Stop and think before entering
❌ Don't enter the water if you have been drinking alcohol
🪧 Don't ignore warning signs
🚫 Don’t jump straight in – the air temperature may be hot but that doesn't mean the water is - cold-water shock can kill
🎈 Avoid the use of inflatables in open water
✅ If in trouble, float on your back
🛟 See someone in trouble? Throw something that floats and call 999

🔥 Help prevent fires in the open
🚭 Avoid smoking in dry, grassy areas
🍖 Only use BBQs in designated areas
🔥 Never leave BBQs unattended and fully extinguish them
🗑️ Take BBQs home to dispose of safely
🚫 Don’t light campfires outside designated sites

A little extra care now can prevent serious incidents later.
