Keeping up with fire safety regulations isn't always straightforward, especially when guidance and standards are being updated!
One area that's seen changes in 2026 is Approved Document B, the guidance supporting fire safety requirements under England's Building Regulations.
The updates include changes relating to second staircases and evacuation lifts in taller residential buildings, alongside other amendments being introduced over different timescales.
Not every change will affect every business or building. But it's a good reminder of why staying informed is so important.
