🔷 EPISODE 6

The Strategy to Strip Bawumia of His Record, And Why We Must Respond
THE DMB CHANNEL — Where Vision Meets Memory
⸻———————————————————————-
Let’s be clear on this:
This new tactic is not about praise for Akufo-Addo.
It’s about discrediting Bawumia without saying his name.

They say Akufo-Addo was retained in 2008 because of “performance.”
They imply Bawumia hasn’t earned the same trust.
But this comparison is not only false, it’s strategically dishonest.

📚Let’s review the facts:
• Akufo-Addo was never Vice President.
He had no direct economic responsibility under Kufuor.
He wasn’t blamed for fuel prices, inflation, or hardship.
• There was no global crisis during his tenure as minister.
No pandemic. No global supply chain collapse.
No Ukraine war. No oil shock. No lockdown economy.
• Nobody in Parliament intended to stage a press conference to express concerns about Kufuor’s legacy like it happened in Akufo-Addo’s era.
No one said, “Akufo-Addo must defend everything Kufuor did.”

But that’s exactly what Bawumia has been forced to do, and survive.

This is political isolation.

🎯The goal is to:
• Separate Bawumia from the party’s successes
• Attach him to every public frustration
• And then say: “You see? He can’t win.”

It’s an inside job, dressed as commentary.

It’s deliberate.
And it’s dangerous.

But if Bawumia is to blame for 2024, then what explains the dozens of parliamentary seats we lost?
He wasn’t on those ballots. He didn’t campaign in all those constituencies.
So is that Bawumia too?

You can’t scapegoat one man for a nationwide trend.
If defeat is shared, then so must be the responsibility, and the truth.

💡This Is the Truth:
• Akufo-Addo was not blamed for Kufuor.
• But Bawumia is blamed for every pain under Akufo-Addo.
• Yet, Bawumia is the only Vice President in our history who was visible, responsive, and leading real reforms.

From Mobile Money Interoperability to the Ghana Card, from Gold for Oil to Digital Addressing, he didn’t just talk, he delivered.

The NDC mocked him.
Parts of our own party abandoned him.

But he never ran.
He never disowned the struggle.

He took the hits, for Ghana and for the NPP.

And now that the economy is stabilizing,
they fall silent.

But they won’t say it’s His initiatives.
Because the moment you admit he was right,
you also admit you lied.

✍️This Is a Test of the Party’s Memory

If this party forgets who stood in the storm,
If we pretend 2020–2022 didn’t happen,
If we punish survival instead of celebrating resilience,
Then we aren’t a party. We’re a faction.

The NPP didn’t retain Akufo-Addo in 2008 because he was flawless.
We did so because we believed in continuity of vision.

Bawumia has lived the challenges.
He knows the system.
He’s delivered reforms under pressure.
And he remains the most visible Vice President Ghana has had.

When the base sees confusion at the top, they stay home.

And as they stayed home in 2024, we didn’t just lose a candidate, we risked the future of the party itself.

This isn’t just about him.
It’s about what kind of party we want to be.

❤️💔Do we reward service, or sabotage it?

This isn’t about personal loyalty.
It’s about party survival.

When we allow internal voices to redefine our history,
To rewrite loyalty as failure,
And success as accident,
We don’t just risk division.
We risk collapse.

🔷 EPISODE 5

The Calm After the Lie: The Unfortunate Vice President
THE DMB CHANNEL — Where Vision Meets Memory
⸻——————————————————————
When the world broke, they blamed one man.

▪️ COVID locked the world down. Global trade collapsed.
▪️ Ukraine war sent fuel and food prices through the roof.
▪️ Freight charges tripled. Oil crossed $100 a barrel.

From Washington to Accra, leaders scrambled.

But in Ghana, the only man targeted was: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He was blamed for global inflation.
He was blamed for food prices.
He was blamed for the fall of the cedi.

“Where is your economic messiah now?” — NDC voices, 2022

He became the punching bag of a global crisis.

And while others vanished or turned to PR,
he stayed. He worked. And he took the blame.

Let’s speak plainly.

Fuel was over 16 cedis in 2022.
Today, it’s under 12 cedis.

The Gold-for-Oil policy they mocked?
Now helping to stabilize prices.

The gold reserves they called useless?
Now being credited by the NDC themselves:

“The cedi is stable because of the gold reserves.”
— Ato Forson, May 2024

If he was the problem when the cedi fell,
then he’s part of the reason it’s rising.

But they won’t say that.
Because the moment you admit he was right,
you also admit you lied.

So instead?

No press conferences.
No apologies.
No memes.

Because the storm is calming,
and they can’t weaponize the calm.

“You don’t mock a man for digging during the drought,
then eat in silence when the rains come.” — Akan wisdom

And to you reading this:

▪️ If you once doubted him, look again.
▪️ If you’re on the fence, check the facts.
▪️ If you believed the lies, ask what they’re saying now.

To the frustrated NPP base:
He never ran. Even when things were burning.

To the floating voter:
He didn’t dodge the mess. He rolled up his sleeves.

To the youth:
He faced more ridicule than any vice president in our history, and still built systems you now use daily.

The truth is simple:

Every Vice President sat quietly.
Only Bawumia was seen. And heard.

If he stood up when it all broke,
why doubt him when we need to rebuild?

📌 This Is How We Remember.
Not with noise. Not with propaganda.
But with memory.

Because what they feared most
wasn’t the fall.
It was that he might survive it, and rise.

“He took the blame. Now take the truth.”

You can’t scapegoat one man for a national pattern. If the defeat is collective, so is the responsibility, why are we running from it. Let’s not lie to ourselves to feel better. DMB has done nothing wrong.

🔷 EPISODE 4

He Was There, Like Every Vice President We’ve Had. But This Time, We Saw Something Different.
THE DMB CHANNEL — Where Vision Meets Memory

⸻—————————————————————

🔹 The Question People Keep Asking

“If he was Vice President, doesn’t that mean he’s part of the problem?”

It’s a fair question, but not a complete one.

Yes, he was there.

But unlike most Vice Presidents we’ve had since independence, he wasn’t invisible.
He didn’t disappear behind protocol.
He didn’t sit quietly through failure.

Bawumia showed up.
And when he showed up, he brought systems.

📌 NO VICE PRESIDENT HAS BEEN THIS VISIBLE

Every Vice President before him was called an “armchair VP.”
A spare wheel. A polite figure at funerals.

But Bawumia?
You saw him in the headlines.
In the debates.
In the pressers.
In the numbers.

🔍 AND YOU SAW HIS WORK

Let the facts speak:
• National Digital Address System
• Ghana Card integration with SSNIT, Passport, DVLA & NHIS
• Mobile Money Interoperability
• E-passport recognition by ICAO
• Paperless Port System
• Zipline medical drone delivery
• Gold-for-Oil policy
• Digital economy strategy

None of these were inherited.
None of them came from Parliament.
These were his ideas, his drive, his delivery.

⚖️ BUT HE WAS STILL A DEPUTY

Let’s be honest:
• He didn’t control Cabinet.
• He didn’t appoint ministers.
• He didn’t pass budgets.
• He didn’t have the final say.

He advised. He proposed. He led where he was allowed.

honestly, you can’t pin everything on him.
But you also can’t ignore what he built.

Bawumia is part of the team that got us this far.
But he’s also the one with the clearest plan to take us further.

📎 This Is How We Remember

He was Vice President, but not the silent type.
He showed what a Vice President could do.
Now, he’s asking to lead, not from the side,
but from the front.

🔷 EPISODE 3

The Gold They Mocked Is Now Holding the Cedi
THE DMB CHANNEL — Where Vision Meets Memory

⸻—————————————————————

🔸 When They Laughed at the Gold-for-Oil Plan…

They called it propaganda.
They said it wouldn’t work.
They said Bawumia was “experimenting.”

Now their own Finance Minister, Ato Forson, says:

“Cedi stability is not due to government spending cuts, but gold-backed reserves.”
— TV3 Ghana, June 2025

And who built that gold reserve system?
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

📚 Let’s Put the Facts on the Record

🔹 2022: Ghana faced sharp currency depreciation, forex shortages, and rising import costs.
🔹 Bawumia led the Gold-for-Oil initiative, using Ghana’s gold reserves to reduce demand for dollars.
🔹 By 2023, Bank of Ghana started buying gold from small-scale miners through the Ghana Gold Purchase Program.
🔹 By 2024, Ghana’s gold reserves grew to over $1.2 billion.

This gave Ghana an alternative to the dollar, and directly protected the cedi.

⚖️ What Did the Opposition Say Then?
• “No transparency.”
• “Another failed policy.”
• “Gold-for-Oil is a scam.”

Today, that same policy is being praised, by the very people who mocked it.

You don’t have to take our word for it.
Their own Finance Minister just confirmed it.

The Point Is

Bawumia didn’t just give speeches, he structured systems.
Even his critics are standing on the foundation he laid.
That’s not luck. That’s leadership with foresight.

📎 This Is How We Remember

They mocked the gold.
They mocked the vision.
Now they’re surviving on it.
