This is your last weekend to catch the Passion for Fashion exhibition by Karen Dennis!

We will be open all weekend from 10am to 4pm.

Karen from Ketchup Clothes has spent a career exploring solutions to the waste created by the fashion industry and has worked within the field of education, design and community engagement.

This exhibition is a retrospective of work produced from recycled materials as well as outputs from community engagement initiatives.

It includes work from local creatives and professionals who were asked to respond to notions of identity and place. It hopes to provide inspiration into how as individuals we can have an impact on both our local and global communities and become a force for positive change.

Army, Navy & a little local history
📆 Friday 27 March

The Royal Navy despised the Army, but Kaiser Wilhelm was seen as a threat, causing the need for a comprehensive invasion exercise to bring the armed forces into the modern era. In 1904, for the first time ever, the two services co-operated and between Clacton & Holland-on-Sea six cruisers landed two divisions to march inland & 'take' Witham. Join Frances Boardman at Jaywick Martello Tower to find out more about this fascinating story.

Talks are £3 entry and can be booked online here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1870596326969
