KEM2 PLANNING APPLICATION UPDATE

Following a vote in our community chat, most people are in favour of using our remaining funds from the fundraiser last year to instruct the planning consultant to compile a report, specifically based upon the KEM2 application.

The Planning Consultant has stated that a report for each site (if and when planning is applied for) would cost a similar amount, which is £800 plus VAT.
Therefore, to have the ability to challenge each one we would need to raise another £5000 pounds.

We don’t have the luxury of funds in waiting, such as the Otford society who have a paid membership that they will use to fight theirs.
So it is down to us to all play our part and meet the target once again.

Our new target on the fund raising page will be £12,500.

The £7205 shown currently is what was raised last time. So we now need to raise another approx £5000.

We came together and came top of the charts in responding to the public consultation. Let’s keep the up the enthusiasm to fight this and not roll over!

Planning Application for KEM2

It seems the site known as KEM2 is not waiting for the outcome of the local plan and have put in a planning application for 8 properties on the site.

Afternoon all,

In preparation for the Development and Infrastructure Commitee Meeting next Thursday, the agenda and consultation response analysis has been released.

Thank you to everyone who submitted responses that meant all of the Kemsing sites were within the top 10 of responded to sites. An amazing achievement and hopefully demonstrates the thoughts of the village. 👏 👏 👏

The Noahs Ark Residents Assiciation held a protest today in response to an application to build 27 houses off of Greenlands Road.
The developers drainage strategy is to apparently discharge the surface water of all properties into the chalk bed stream that leads to the Darenth. This will pollute the stream and endanger the wildlife in it.
