👌Today in our ongoing series of profiled adverts, we turn to the noted Islavale Simmental herd of Mr WS Stronach, Berryleys Farm, Grange, Keith, Banffshire.

💥The Islavale advert highlights Islavale Rico, the Junior Reserve Champion at Stirling in October 2025, and who sold for 18,000gns.

💥Also featured is Islavale Amanda 17, the Next Gen V Reserve Champion Weaned Calf at Carlisle in December 2025 and who sold for 14,000gns.

‼️Islavale is a classified herd with over 50 EX classified cows; is a four and a half star performance recorded herd; and is a member of Hi Health.

💠Entries to the 2026 Simmental Scottish National Show, are now open! 💠

🚩One of the blue riband events of the Simmental show season, this year’s Scottish National Show is being held within the Black Isle Show, Mannsfeild Showground, Muir of Ord, IV6 7RS on Thursday 6th August.

🤠Judging the Simmental classes and championships will be Tom Henderson of the noted Dargill herd.

🏆⭐️ROCKING IT! CADE KATHLEEN’S ROCKSTAR WINS SIMMENTAL SUPREME AT THE DEVON COUNTY!⭐️🏆

🔴Rockstar also wins Reserve Interbreed Continental Champion

💥It’s a ‘big up’ to Cade Kathleen’s Rockstar from the Rougemont pedigree herd of Mary Cormack, Leominster, Hereford, who made her 2026 showing debut at the Devon County Show on Thursday 21st May, and where she won the Overall Simmental Supreme Championship. It was also a Simmental showing debut for the Rougemont herd!

🎖️The following day this two-year-old in-calf heifer won the Reserve Interbreed Continental Championship.

🌞Already known affectionately at home as ‘Roxy’, Cade Kathleen’s Rockstar was purchased by Mary Cormack for 15,000gns at the Next generation V Sale at Carlisle in December last year, and from breeders Paul & Sharrie Cade, Buckden, Peterborough.

👉January 2024 born, Rockstar is by Sacombe Jameson 18, and is out of Brandane Kathleen.

😀👊Pictured with this post is of course ‘Roxy’ herself but also a picture of her with Jennifer Hyslop who dressed and showed her, and with owner Mary Cormack. Well done to Mary and her Rougemont Simmental herd, and a great start at this early season fixture, to the Simmental show year!

🔸Ballinalare Farm Nikita Wins Overall Simmental Supreme for fourth consecutive year
🔹Lisglass Sapphire takes Overall Reserve & Junior Champion
🔸Mullynock Scorpio crowned Male Champion

👊Playing a bit of catch up but see here a pictorial round up of the Simmental Champions at the recent RUAS Balmoral Show, Balmoral Park, Co Antrim, and with the Simms judged by John Barlow of the noted Denizes herd, Lancashire.

💥It was another remarkable day for Ballinalare Farm Nikita from Joe & Alan Wilson, Newry, who with her cracking heifer calf at foot, won a record breaking fourth Royal Ulster Balmoral Show Simmental Overall Supreme Championship, on the first day of this early summer ‘major’.

🏅Lifting the Overall Reserve Supreme, the Overall Junior Championship, and the Reserve Female Championship, was the super stylish young heifer Lisglass Sapphire from Leslie & Chris Weatherup, Irish Hill, Ballyclare, Co Antrim. April 2025 born, this calf is another by Raceview King, and is out of Dermody Princess who herself stood Reserve Female to Nikita at Balmoral in 2024, and has also been Reserve Female at the NI Simmental National Show.

🔸Wroxall, and Pistyll bulls sell to 5500gns
🔹22 lots sold in all across the catalogue

💥The four year old Tirley Buttercup from Steve White Tarporley, Cheshire, sold with her heifer calf at foot, Tirley Tulip, made 6000gns to lead the establishing Welshpool Simmental Sale held on Thursday 21st May, at Welshpool Livestock Sales, Buttington Cross, Welshpool.

The second staging of this Simmental Sale at Welshpool saw bulls sell to 5500 x2, 5200, and 5000 x2, with seven of the ten forward selling to average £5145. Fifteen pedigree and commercial females also sold with pedigree females at 6000gns, and 4000gns x2, and 14-month-old Simm Hi Health Heifers to £2500.

🤩Wroxall Rolls Royce 24 (P) takes Overall Reserve Supreme.

👉L Renshaw & I Brassington, The Old Myers, Derbyshire, took the Overall Simmental Supreme Championship today at Welshpool with their August 2024 born bull Dovefields Regent 24 judged by James Arnold of the noted Vale Royal herd, Longstone Cottage, Tarporley, Cheshire.

🚩Dovefields Regent is by Oaktree Farm Merlin 21 and is out of Charlesdale Velvet 15I.

📌Taking the Overall Reserve Supreme was Wroxall Rolls Royce 24 (P) from the prolific Wroxall herd of the Evans family, Kington Grange Farm. Wroxall Rolls Royce is by Rendham Noble 22 (P) and out of Wroxall Magical Lady (PP).
