Shocking news: I was wrong. Up until now I've been telling people that the prediction for October was a 40% rise in energy rates - which was quite bad enough...
The latest prediction, based on Ofgem's new methodology, is an 81% price cap rise in Oct (taking typical bill to £3,582/yr) and a further 19% in Jan (so £4,266/yr) - I just saw this on Martin Lewis' twitter.

So What’s With The Pig?

It was all a bit unexpected... just browsing through Facebook one day and I saw a post that caught my eye. I’d split with my husband and was also on the brink of changing my utility providers so that I could put them into my sole name without involving him. I needed an income that fitted around the kids and meant that I could be there for sports day, summer fairs and chickenpox. I needed something easy, reliable and flexible.

What was that intriguing post about? Free pizza, holidays of a lifetime and potentially saving yourself £100’s. This peaked my curiosity and I sent my Facebook friend Alex a private message... and the rest is history. She reduced my energy and phone bills by £700 over the year and I joined the team immediately because she brought her baby to the appointment and inspired me with her enthusiasm.

However, it wasn’t all about the money. Yes - earning it and spending less was great, but what really took me by surprise was how much I grew as a person. This happened because the training and ethics in our team were simply amazing. Even my children benefited because I discovered personal development and started to apply that to my parenting.
