Our Roots & Shoots sessions are a chance to get outdoors, meet others and help care for our community growing space.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or completely new to it, everyone is welcome.

Research continues to show the difference that early access to books can make. 📚💛

Children enrolled in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library were found to be 15x more likely to engage with reading, helping to build confidence, imagination and a positive relationship with books from an early age.

Through the programme, children receive a free book every month delivered straight to their home. 🩵

The Trailblazer programme supports 18–25-year-olds who are economically inactive and experiencing mental health challenges. 🩵

We offer free personalised support through one-to-one sessions, motivational coaching and access to an inhouse counsellor, helping young people build confidence, set goals and explore their next steps at a pace that works for them.

Whether that’s employment, training, volunteering or simply figuring out what comes next, we’re here to help without pressure or judgement. 💛

This activity is part of Healthy Working Life, a joint programme of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.

🩵 This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on the importance of support, connection and taking things one step at a time.

Through our Trailblazer programme, we support young adults aged 18–25 who are experiencing mental health challenges and finding it difficult to move into work, training or education.

Support looks different for everyone and that’s okay.

Sometimes it starts with having someone to talk to, building confidence slowly, or simply feeling less alone. 💛

Something a little different at our Welcome Spaces this week 🩵

We usually enjoy activities like quizzes and bingo, but this time our ABCD Worker Harriet used Small Sparks funding to arrange a chair-based exercise session with Susan.

It was great to see everyone getting involved, having fun, keeping active and giving something new a try together. 💛

Sometimes the simplest activities can bring people together and boost wellbeing at the same time.

We’ll be bringing afternoons full of free family-friendly activities, games, reading, nature activities and community connection to LS9 across May, June and July. ☀️

We had a lovely day recently at our Leeds in Blossom event at Nowell Mount Community Centre 🌸

It was great to see people coming together to enjoy the activities, spend time outdoors and celebrate our community space in bloom. 🌱✨

A big thank you to Space2 Leeds for attending and being part of the day, and thank you to Love Leeds Parks for helping fund the event and make it possible. 💛

Community events like this are a great reminder of the importance of connection, creativity and shared spaces.
