The working farm opened it's doors to the public 20 years ago and is now a place where families can spend the whole day enjoying farm life and the wonderful countryside around them. Children of all ages can meet and learn about our range of farm animals, including many rare breeds. They can handle the fluffy young chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs in Cuddle Corner and laugh at the antics of our pygm

y goats on Goat Mountain. You can feed the ducks, groom a pony, watch and get involved in the ever popular piglet race, plus many more seasonal animal activities, such as lamb bottle feeding in the spring. There is plenty to see and do under cover too, with all activities and a good variety of penned animals on display in our many barns near the centre. Walk one of the many nature trails, from quarter of a mile to three and a half, taking you through our conservation award-winning farm through woods, meadows, by streams and ponds enjoying the diversity of wildlife on the way. Look up you may see skylarks, lapwings and raptors and if you are very lucky you might even see a red kite. Closer to the ground look out for deer, hares, wild rabbits, foxes, badgers, voles and even grass snakes. Back at the farm, children can work off their energy in indoor and outdoor play areas, build a shelter in the den-making area, as well as enjoying the free barrel ride which runs every hour. There is also, during the main season, a real tractor trailer tour of the farm available to book. Everyone can enjoy home cooked meals, snacks or tea and cakes in our Rickyard restaurant.

🥬 Fresh from the vegetable garden and straight to some very happy guinea pigs.

🐹 Today’s treat was surplus chard from our vegetable garden, and judging by the excited munching, it went down a storm.

🌱 Guinea pigs love leafy greens, and watching them tuck in is one of the simplest pleasures of farm life.

These adorable kid goats were born just last week and are already making themselves at home. After a busy day exploring, it’s time for cuddles, naps and staying close to mum.

What a half term! ☀️🐑❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who visited us over the past week. With glorious sunshine, smiling faces and families making memories together, it has been a joy to welcome so many of you to the farm.

The sheep are now officially summer-ready, with all of this year’s shearing complete, and kidding season is in full swing. We’ve already welcomed some incredibly cute kid goats, with more arrivals expected this week!

Thank You for an Incredible Half Term ☀️

What a half term it has been!

With wall-to-wall sunshine, happy children, ice creams, animal encounters and plenty of family adventures, it has been wonderful to welcome so many of you to the farm over the past week.

A huge thank you to everyone who chose to spend part of their half term with us. Seeing so many smiling faces making memories together is what it’s all about.

The sheep shearing has now finished, helping them stay cool and comfortable for the summer ahead. Meanwhile, kidding season is well underway, with several adorable kid goats already born and more expected this week.

A special thank you to Poonam for sharing these lovely photos from her visit. We love seeing the farm through your eyes.

Half term may be over, but the fun continues. Our Midweek Meet-Up returns this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, offering a great value day out for little ones and their grown-ups.

🐐Three little reasons to smile this weekend 🐐🐐🐐

🐐Dora surprised us yesterday with not one, not two, but THREE beautiful kids… two girls and one boy!

🐐They arrived while visitors were here, making it a pretty special day for everyone lucky enough to witness it.

Start the weekend with a family evening at the farm. We’re open until 7pm tonight, with lamb bottle feeding, pig racing, barrel rides, adventure golf, indoor and outdoor play, friendly animals and plenty of ice creams to help you cool down.
