KeynshamNow Youth Town Council were pleased to welcome the Town Clerk to their February meeting, where she gave members an insight into the workings of the town council and worked with us to prepare a transformation project for Teviot Park in Keynsham, where section 106 money can be used to improve and revamp the area for all local young residents.

It’s 10 years of Keynsham Now today, We shared our experiences over the past 10 years, events that we’ve ran and attended. we had one of our ex members Danni to come back to visit us! got our 10 year anniversary pens! And we also upgraded our hoodies thanks to KITco Work & Sportswear we all owe a lot to KeynshamNow and to Andy Wait our mentor, we’ve all learnt, grown and become more confident members of society, we’ve raised over £2000 for local charities, spoken at youth parliament, visited the Houses of Parliament, members have spoken their opinions at Keynsham Town Council meetings, The town council who have massively supported us over these years. We’ve had members win awards for young citezens, become Councillors for the Town and BANES, we’ve even got a future priminister in mix for sure!

Here’s to the next 10 years! 💚

For the last few years KeynshamNow have done a spring cycle, to raise money for various organisations!

This year our Spring Cycle will be raising money to support the fundraiser of our mentor, Caitlin!
She is raising money for a defibrillator in Keynsham,

If you would like to join in please get in contact, we will be meeting at bird in hand Saltford at 10am April 21st!

We start in Saltford, and cycle/walk or run to Bristol then back to Saltford, and toBbath and back again!

Mentors Andy and George, Chair of KeynshamNow Darcey and caded Flynn.. or as we know him Ollie!

Massive thanks to the Cadeds for having us, well done to our member Ollie for arranging this set up!

The squadron had the priviledge to host KeynshamNow, a youth organisation aimed at promoting current affair awareness amongst teenagers and youths locally.

The talk was well organised and hosted by our very own Cadet Flynn, who championed the initiative stemming from his interest for the local community.

Our cadets participated in a series of discussions, with a diversity of societal to technological issues. By exchanging and learning more about developments locally and nationally, this complements the Corps’ vision in developing their citizenship and leadership.
