🐶 Got old PetTech tucked away in a drawer?

Before throwing away unwanted pet gadgets, see how they can be reused, donated or recycled to help reduce waste and support a more sustainable future.

♻️ If your PetTech isn't suitable for reuse or donation, don't bin it. As with all small electricals, simply place it in a bag on top of, or next to, your green recycling box for collection.

Take a look at these tips from Recycle Your Electricals. ♻️👇

Temporary suspension of fridge and freezer acceptance

We are currently unable to accept fridges and freezers at any of our Household Recycling Centres or via our large item collection service.

This is due to a UK-wide issue affecting fridge and freezer recycling facilities, which are experiencing reduced capacity and significant delays in processing appliances.

We are working closely with our waste management partners to restore this service as soon as possible.

If you need to dispose of a fridge or freezer, please use a retailer take-back service when buying new, keep in storage or look to alternate collector such as AO (see the link in comments).

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

👶♻️ Reusable nappy discount code now available!

Disposable nappies create a significant amount of waste, filling up household black bins and making up 2 to 3% of the UK's household waste. What's more, a single-use nappy can take up to 500 years to decompose. Reusable nappies offer a sustainable, low-waste alternative that can also help save you money in the long run.

B&NES residents can access exclusive discounts from our reusable nappy partners to help save money and reduce waste.

🥕🍌🍞 Not sure what goes in your food caddy?
If it's food, it can usually go in your food caddy:
🍎 Fruit & veg
🍗 Meat & bones
🍞 Bread
🧀 Dairy
☕ Tea bags & coffee grounds
🍽️ Leftovers
But please keep out:
🚫 Food packaging, compostable cups, trays and boxes
Your food waste is turned into renewable energy and fertiliser, helping to power homes and support local farmland. 🌱⚡
