🎉 A Stourport tradition that came close to ending is back for its 101st year
On Saturday 5 September, Stourport Carnival returns to the streets of the town, bringing colour, creativity and community spirit with it.
Last year, many residents feared this much-loved tradition could be lost. Instead, the community rallied behind the event, and this year the carnival returns under the organisation of Stourport Town Council, with support from Wyre Forest District Council.
🎭 This year's carnival will feature a walking parade, giving local groups, organisations, schools, businesses and residents the chance to be part of a very special community celebration. The parade will leave Memorial Park at 12 noon before making its way through the town and finishing at the Riverside.
❤️ For more than a century, Stourport Carnival has brought generations of residents, families, friends and visitors together, and we'd love to see the community come together once again to celebrate everything that makes Stourport special.
🚧 If you're planning to attend, please remember that temporary road closures will be in place throughout the event. Please allow extra time for your journey and plan ahead.
