🐶 National Dog Day 🐾

This morning we celebrated national dog day by making a doggy collage, cutting & sticking pictures of different dogs, and we had our four legged friend Bobby pop in after our bbq to see all the residents which topped off a really lovely day 🥰

What a lovely treat for our residents today!
We enjoyed a BBQ on the patio followed by ice creams to celebrate National burger day tomorrow.

The weather held off for us, everyone enjoyed the nostalgic smell off the bbq and the smiles on the residents faces say it all really! 🥰

Lorraine's birthday celebrations started yesterday when her family arranged for the lovely Maxine to come in and sing for all the residents, and Lorraine was treated to a special serenade ❤️
It's always lovely to see everyone singing and dancing and enjoying themselves 🥰

As yesterday was national potato day we did some pattern making with potato printing 🥔 for our arts and crafts session! Very messy and lots of fun!

A few photos from this week, starting with arts and crafts on Monday, Wednesday we made a bakewell tart for tea and this morning we had a gentle stroll around the garden and Dave dancing on the patio 🕺
Everyone is looking forward to having Beth in to sing for us tomorrow too! 🎤🎵

The grand total for yesterday's afternoon tea is £129! Thank you so much to everyone who made it a success. All funds are going to Breast Cancer Now, a really good cause so thank you again ❤️

Wow! What an amazing turn out for our Breast Cancer Now afternoon tea fundraiser this afternoon! 🧁🍰🫖☕️
A huge thank you to all the friends and relatives who came to support us, and thank you for all your very kind donations! We will tot it all up and post the final amount raised tomorrow ❤️
And congratulations to Sandra on winning the fruit cake for getting the closest weight on 'guess the weight of the cake!' 🏆

A reminder for our Breast Cancer Now fundraiser this Sunday! We are welcoming family and friends in from 3pm to enjoy an afternoon tea with us and purchase some lovely home made and donated cakes, all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Now.
