Pop by and see us at Millets Farm, tomorrow!🐑

Kicking off our first drop-in session of the new season, we'll be at Millets from 1pm to 3pm.

As always, come along for an informal chat and find out more about the different fostering opportunities available from the practicalities and support available to the different ways you can get involved.

We've also heard that Millets does excellent cake and has lots of farm animals to meet, so there are plenty of reasons to visit! 😊

🍎📚 Wishing every child and young person returning to school this September the very best for the new term.

A new school year brings fresh opportunities, new friendships, and exciting experiences — though it can also bring a few nerves.

For children in foster care, the encouragement and support from trusted adults, teachers, and friends can make all the difference as they settle back into the classroom.

Here’s to a year filled with confidence, kindness, achievement, and moments to be proud of for all. 🌟

This wasn't one of our fostering walk participants yesterday... although this very determined goose certainly seemed keen to join in! 🪿

After following walkers along part of the route, it became an honorary member of the event. Sadly, we didn't provide it with a fostering information pack at the end.

🎉 A fantastic evening with our fostering community at Blenheim Palace

Yesterday, more than 52 people came together for our annual Foster Walk at Blenheim Palace. Now in its third year, the event brought together foster carers, children, young people, supporters, and staff for an evening of connection, community, and enjoyment.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and volunteered. We’d also like to thank Blenheim Palace for hosting us and Barefoot Oxford for generously donating delicious brownies, which were enjoyed by all 🍫

Only one week to go until our annual Fostering Walk!

There's still time to book your free ticket and join us for a relaxed evening at Blenheim Palace.

With sunshine currently on the forecast, it's the perfect chance to enjoy an evening outdoors while connecting with other fostering families and chat with members of our fostering team.

The walk is approximately 45 minutes, so it's suitable for children and four-legged friends.

Continuing our overview of fostering roles, we're looking at short-term fostering.

Sometimes a child needs a safe, stable home while important decisions about their future are being made. Short-term foster carers provide care for children and young people for periods ranging from a few days up to two years.

Every placement is different, but short-term foster carers help children feel safe, supported, and valued while plans for their future take shape. 💙

💙 Celebrating Fostering in Oxfordshire: Annual Walk at Blenheim Palace

Our Annual Fostering Walk at Blenheim Palace is just a few weeks away, and we'd love you to join us.

This free event is an opportunity to bring our fostering community together and celebrate the difference foster carers make to the lives of local children and young people.

Whether you're a foster carer, a child or young person in a fostering family, or simply want to support fostering in Oxfordshire, everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring family members, friends and even your four-legged companions along for the walk.

🏡 This week we're focusing on emergency fostering.

Children don't always enter care through a planned process. Sometimes, because of a family crisis or an unexpected event, they need a safe place to stay immediately.

Emergency foster carers open their homes at short notice, often for just a few days, providing stability, reassurance, and care while longer-term arrangements are made.

A warm welcome, a safe place to sleep, and someone to care for them can make all the difference during a difficult time.
