Protect our green spaces 🔥

The UK Government has introduced a temporary ban on the sale of disposable BBQs due to ongoing heatwaves and wildfire risk.

With dry conditions continuing, we’re asking everyone in Newcastle-under-Lyme to take extra care outdoors.

Please help keep our parks and green spaces safe:
🚫 Don’t use disposable BBQs in public spaces
🔥 Avoid lighting fires or anything that could create sparks
🧺 Consider picnics instead of barbecues
🎈 Don’t use sky lanterns (dangerous to wildlife all year round)
🚯 Take your litter home – glass and waste can start fires
🚬 Fully extinguish ci******es and dispose of them safely

Wildfires can spread quickly and cause serious damage to our environment and communities.

Thank you for helping protect the places we’re proud of 💚
