The Save Crossroads Primary School campaign has graduated...who are we now? The Crossroads Lifelong Learning Partnership (CLLP)! We haven’t been idle for the past three years we have been reading, learning and contemplating the role that learning plays in developing and building our community. We’ve been networking with similar organisations, chatting with the Government, accessing funding and thi

nking about fun ways of learning…we feel confident that we are ready for take off! CLLP is a Social Enterprise, which brings personal commitment and working for the greater good together, we intend to deliver learning experiences to the Crossroads community and surrounding areas for all ages of the community. We believe that learning is a life-long experience and that everyone should have a chance to develop new skills or pass them on to up and coming generations to sustain traditions. How will we do it? By delivering events, classes and courses accessible to all ages of the community! Until building works are completed we will be in and around the Crossroads area in local halls and locations. We are in the process of bringing some launch events to you, covering a range of subjects that promise to be informative and fun. Please come and join us (bring your friends!) in supporting this exciting new venture, we need your opinions and voices to let us build on maximising your experience! Watch this space as we start to roll out a tractor load of activities for everyone!

Hi All, we're just taking notes of interest just now from anyone who might be interested in learning to be / improving/ updating their skills around Tutoring ? Do you have skills you'd like to pass on, you maybe need a confidence boost, interested to learn some new skills ? Learn how to do a basic lesson plan, deliver it and understand assessment. A busy weekend for the easter chicks and bunnies but managed to pop in to our local egg supplier Corrie Mains Farm to pick up some eggs. My girls still had time to photo bomb the shot and wish you a lovely weekend from all at Crossroads Community Hub

Looking forward to learning a lot more about Bees from Louise !🤓

Louise our Community Food Worker is passionate about bees and entered the hive for the first time at the weekend. She will be sharing her stories as a new beekeeper here and on her blog ayrshirefoodfromayrshirefolk.wordpress.com.

These precious insects are not just honey producers but pollinators. Any chance she gets she will be sharing her 'interesting' facts such as did you know one teaspoon of pollen (what the bees collect on their legs and take back to the hives as their protein food source) takes one bee working eight hours a day for one month to gather. Each bee pollen pellet contains over two million flower pollen grains and one teaspoonful contains over 2.5 billion grains of flower pollen
