What a day! ❤️
200 Yard Sale maps handed out. Visitors from Heacham, Emneth, Setchey, and beyond. The Village Hall sold out of food by early afternoon. And 41 households took part.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our very first North Wootton Yard Sale such a success.
To the 41 households who opened their gardens and driveways, our Hall stallholders, our volunteers, our sponsors, and everyone who came along to browse, bargain hunt, stop for a bacon roll or simply enjoy seeing the village buzzing - thank you.
We even had visitors telling us they'd travelled from Heacham, Emneth, Setchey and beyond specifically for the Yard Sale, which is pretty amazing for a first attempt. And judging by the fact that we ran out of food at the Village Hall by early afternoon and handed out around 200 maps, it seems we weren't the only ones who thought it was worth a visit!
It has been a lot of work behind the scenes to bring the Yard Sale together, but seeing people out exploring the village today has made it all worthwhile.
We're particularly grateful to Eco-Cycle Waste Management Ltd, Roger Warnes Transport Ltd, Walker Construction Services Limited, and Scott Timber Buildings for sponsoring the event and helping us get this first Yard Sale off the ground.
Most importantly, the event has raised money for North Wootton Village Hall, helping us continue to provide a community space for the village.
We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have. And perhaps this is just the beginning… 👀
