Big news from King’s Lynn! 🌊 Our March Fishing Gear Amnesty was a massive success, removing 5,805kg of old gear from our quaysides.
Thanks to our partners and the local fishing community, we successfully sent 4,145kg of plastics and metal to be processed for recycling! 🛠️♻️
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this event, from the planning to the boots on the ground: the Norfolk fishing industry, Keep Britain Tidy, RWE Renewables UK, Haskoning, Eunomia, ABP, and GoldStar Metal Recycling, we congratulate everyone for their incredible support in making this happen. It was fantastic to collaborate with all these organisations to keep our docks and seas clean and to get rid of potential marine litter.
Missed out? We’re planning another event in the district later this year - let's see if we can break our record! 📈
