We have received a number of reports from residents across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight who have advertised items for sale on an online marketplace, and the person who has come to collect and pay for the item has paid with counterfeit banknotes – sometimes just one or two fake notes amongst a bundle of genuine banknotes.

A Ordinary Meeting of Kingsclere Parish Council will be held on Monday 15th June at 7.30pm at The Village Club.

Members of the Public are welcome to attend and share their views on relevant matters for the council that affect the citizens of Kingsclere.

The local elections will take place tomorrow (Thursday 7 May). If you have a disability or need extra support, polling stations will have equipment and staff to help.

All stations are wheelchair accessible, with ramps where needed and adapted booths. Support includes large‑print ballot papers, colour overlays, Makaton guides and tactile voting devices. Please speak to our polling station staff who are available to help and can make reasonable adjustments where possible.

This morning we repaired the old bench at the top of the rec by the football pitch and installed a new one.
