☀️ The sun is well and truly out for half-term! So much so that we're looking at the hottest May date on record, so stay cool out there everyone.

If you're thinking of taking a dip in the water to cool down then please stay safe by following these tips:

💧 Let friends or family know when you’re entering the water
🏊 Only enter the water if you are a confident swimmer
🦺 Wear a life jacket when taking part in water‑based activities
🚨 In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard (coastal areas) or Fire Service (inland)

Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine.

⭐️Volunteer Spotlight⭐️

Last week, one of our incredible volunteers, Justin, had the honour of attending the prestigious Buckingham Palace Garden Party on behalf of REACT Disaster Response👑✨

This was such a proud moment and a truly well deserved recognition for all of the hard work, dedication and support he continuously gives to helping others. Opportunities like this don’t come around often, and it’s amazing to see one of our own being recognised in such a special way.

We are incredibly proud to have Justin as part of the WUKSART team❤️

Recently, we also had the opportunity to join training with REACT for the very first time, and we’re hopeful this will be the start of many more training sessions together in the future. Working alongside other organisations is so important and all contributes towards Joint Operational Learning, one of the original JESIP objectives.

A huge congratulations again to Justin, a fantastic achievement and one we are all incredibly proud of👏🏼
