JOIN IN THE BFBS DINO DASH
24 MILES. 3 PEAKS. 12 HOURS. ONE MASSIVE CHALLENGE! 🦖⛰️

On Tuesday 6 October, BFBS' Richard Hatch and Mark Airey's Team True Spirit charity is leading a team up Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent in the Yorkshire Three Peaks — all in a single day!

We’ll be joined by SAS legend Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, serving personnel, veterans and members of the Armed Forces community. And yes… there’ll be dinosaurs outfits involved ! 🦖

But this is about much more than the challenge. We’re doing it to raise money for the BFBS Big Salute, supporting smaller Armed Forces charities and the incredible work they do for serving personnel, veterans and their families.

Three mountains.
One team.
One huge cause.

Please click the link, donate whatever you can and help us build a mountain of cash!

The festive season is a time to celebrate the camaraderie that makes our military strong.
As we gather for Christmas parties, let’s remember, celebration should never come at the cost of safety or respect.

WHY?

Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Clubs' mission statement is simple; end the often accute social isolation of Armed Forces veterans, which is the predominant factor in poor mental health, and sometimes even su***de.

We are not a business or charity; we do not seek money, no one gets paid, we're free to join and attend, so we are not 'in competition' with anyone; none of the military charities; we seek to compliment the fantastic work that they do by offering direct, face to face contact with veterans.

It is a commendable and impactful mission carried out by every club and the volunteers who run them.
The work done by the Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Clubs addresses a critical need within the veteran community by providing a vital peer support network.
By operating as a free, informal (no committees or hierarchy - just friends meeting for breakfast) and non-commercial entity, the clubs effectively remove barriers to participation, making it easier for veterans to connect, share experiences, and support one another in a relaxed and safe environment.
This focus on peer-to-peer support is a powerful tool in promoting mental well-being and preventing crises.
