Have you seen our new bug hotels around the park when you've been out and about exploring on the Sand le Mere Nature Walk? 🏠

Our Bug Hotels we hope will provide a bit of space and sanctuary for all types of creatures around the park. Depending on the setup you choose - they can shelter hedgehogs to toads, solitary bees to bumblebees, and ladybirds to woodlice.🐝🐛🦋🐞🐜🕷

This could be a great home project with the kids too - you can make them entirely to fit your own outdoor space at home. Check out this how to video from RSPB Love Nature here:

When you do return to park later this year, in light of everything you may be keen to spend a little more time exploring the outdoors, getting some fresh air and taking in the beautiful scenery we have here on the East Yorkshire coast.

Don't forget to head out on our Nature Trail here around the park - it's a great place to get away from it all - you can get out and explore without having to leave the park 👍

While digging some holes for fence posts near the Nature Walk yesterday this chap decided he’d like to own them by jumping down them all, trouble is he couldn’t get out again and had to be rescued a few times!!

Unfortunately the very strong winds today have brought a large tree down which is blocking the entrance/exit to the Nature Walk!!

[UPDATE] The tree has been moved and the entrance/exit is now clear :)
