✨ HULLITAGE: History over Coffee – tomorrow ✨

Just a little reminder that tomorrow we are inviting the Polish community in Hull to a free, relaxed and friendly cultural gathering as part of the Hullitage project.

This time, we will visit Streetlife Museum together to explore the history of Hull, spend time in good company, and enjoy a chat over coffee in a warm and informal atmosphere.

It will be a lovely opportunity to get out of the house, meet other people, discover a piece of local history, and simply enjoy being together.

📅 Tomorrow, Tuesday 2nd June
🕐 1:00 pm

💛 Do you feel like your body needs to move?

Sometimes we carry too much in our shoulders, hips, chest, breath, and even in the way we stand. This session is a chance to shake some of it off gently.

Dance with Chakras is a free Hullitage wellbeing evening delivered in Polish, where we will use music, movement and simple body awareness to release tension and bring more balance into the body.

No experience needed. No perfect steps. No pressure.

Just come in comfortable clothes and give yourself permission to move.

✨ HULLITAGE: Coffee, Chat and Music ✨

We are warmly inviting Arabic women in Hull to join us for another beautiful Hullitage gathering at Bowling Pavilion in Pearson Park NLHF

This will be a relaxed afternoon of coffee, conversation, music and connection — a chance to meet other women, make new friends, share stories, laugh together and enjoy a warm community space.

Sometimes we all need a place where we can feel welcome, heard and at home. This group has been created especially for Arabic-speaking women to connect, relax and spend positive time together.

✨ Dance with Chakras – free Hullitage wellbeing evening ✨

On Thursday, June 4th, we are inviting Polish-speaking participants to Centre 88 for a free evening of movement, music, breath and body connection.

The session will be delivered in Polish and will focus on moving through different energy centres in the body in a gentle and intuitive way.

This is not a dance class where you need to know the steps. It is an evening to loosen the body, release tension, wake up the senses and feel a little more grounded, lighter and more connected.

Next week we're doing something that genuinely makes us feel excited 💛

We’ll be leading a Dance with Chakras workshop at Centre 88 as part of the Hullitage project.

For Magda, our Artistic Director, dance has never been just movement. She has danced for as long as she can remember, and it has always been one of the main foundations of her life. For her, dance has been expression, release, joy, survival, healing, connection and freedom.

This workshop will be about exactly that.

We’ll explore how emotions can sit in the body, how different energy centres connect with different parts of our emotional life, and how movement can help us soften, shift and release what we’ve been carrying.

There will be music, movement, a little bit of knowledge, a lot of feeling, and a beautiful energy balancing meditation at the end.

You don’t need to be flexible, spiritual, experienced or “good at dancing”. You just need to come as you are and be willing to move a little, breathe a little, and give yourself an evening of release.

There are still some places left. Message us if you’d like to join 💛

Today’s session of the Hullitage Emerging Community Leaders Programme focused on something many grassroots leaders quietly struggle with: turning good ideas and real community care into clear, fundable projects.

Together we worked through the Awards for All application using The AI Bid-Writing Bible - Funding Applications UK and exploring how community groups can communicate need, impact, activities, and outcomes in ways that remain human, honest, and structured.

What made today special was not only learning about funding.

It was watching people begin to recognise that their lived experience, cultural knowledge, and everyday contribution to community life already hold value.

Many people are already leading long before they ever call themselves leaders.

This programme exists to help bridge the gap between passion and practical tools, so emerging leaders feel more confident navigating funding systems, building sustainable projects, and creating meaningful change in their communities.

Real community development does not begin in policy documents.
It begins with people who care enough to keep showing up.

Special thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund for funding our Hullutage project.
