New plans have been submitted to build 63 houses off Kendal Way, including the demolition of 2 Kendal Way to create access.

These have been submitted to East Riding Council so anyone who previously objected to the Hull City Council application will need to do so again.

As your Lib Dem team we have opposed development on this site before, and we have done so again.

We remain concerned about flooding, extra pressure on local roads, and the lack of supporting infrastructure.

The deadline to comment is Friday 3rd July.

We are delighted to share the local Councillor Maria Coward will be the Lord Mayor of Hull for the coming year! Alongside working hard as our local Councillor, Maria will serve the city in the civic role.

Alongside Jack Haines and Alison Collinson, the Lib Dem team will continue to work hard to get our community positive change.

🚨📰 After writing to the Chief Executive of Northern Gas, the organisation has apologised to residents affected by their road closure. We are in touch with them directly as well as the council and will keep you updated.

We’ve written to the Chief Executive of Northern Gas about the road closures on Anlaby Road expressing the frustrations of residents and ourselves.

We’re demanding answers and solutions to the road closure that is causing a real issue on our roads. We’ll keep you updated on what they reply back with.

GAS WORKS UPDATE:

We want to update you about the gas works and road closure in our area.

The works are being carried out by Northern Gas Networks and began on Monday 5th January, and are scheduled for 5 weeks.

While we all know this work is important, we have been told by local residents that the current road closure has caused traffic problems, especially during the morning rush hour.

This morning, we contacted Hull City Council to ask for highways officers to attend the site urgently. We have asked them to look again at how the road is closed and whether there is a better, safer way to manage traffic. Residents still need to get to work, school and appointments.

We am pushing for improvements and will share updates as soon as I have them. Please allow extra time for journeys for now.

If the closure is causing you problems, please let me know so we can raise this for you.
