Hull Fostering

Hull Fostering If you have any questions about fostering, then please ask us on this page or email us 😊

Hull Fostering is part of Hull City Council and we are responsible for all children in Hull. We are responsible for finding foster carers and Supported Lodgings providers who live in or within 30 miles of Hull to care for our looked after children population. When a child cannot live with their family, Hull City Council take over as their legal guardians and we are responsible for the welfare and

future of all children looked after in the city. We need approved foster carers to look after and love our children. At Hull Fostering, we are very much a community, we support one another, meet up many times a week and have fun as adults and with our young people. Like many parents, a lot of our carers continue to work and undertake hobbies whilst fostering. If you have ever thought about fostering a child or young person, please consider fostering with us. We have some of the best training around, we will treat you as a professional and this is recognised through our financial package, you will have 24-hour hour support 365 days a year and you will be part of the best fostering community around. We are one big family and you will meet an army of friends and likeminded people whilst fostering with us. If you have any questions about fostering, please ask us on this page, email us at [email protected] or call us on 01482 612 800. For even more information, please visit www.HullFostering.co.uk

Today we welcomed one of Hull’s newest art spaces into our Fostering Friendly community!

Earlier this year, Blank Canvas brought life to one of the empty units on the third floor of Princes Quay. Mandy and Sophie have big ambitions for the space, which is already opening its doors to all sorts of community groups. From poets and theatre groups to artists and creatives, there really is something for everyone.

Today, we were lucky enough to make use of this fantastic space for a creative session with our foster families. Children and carers got stuck in, experimenting with different art techniques and creating masterpieces that could feature in next year’s Hull Fostering calendar. 🎨✨
We were also delighted to be joined by Miranda Van Rossem, the community artist behind Hull’s Alphabet of Hull Trail. Hull Fostering is incredibly excited to be involved in this project and to help our foster families play a part in creating something for the wider city.
A huge thank you to Mandy, Sophie and everyone at Blank Canvas for welcoming our families and helping us create opportunities like this.

This is exactly what being a Fostering Friendly Business is about. Partnering with local businesses who are willing to open their doors to us, share their spaces, maybe even their skill and in doing so, helping foster families feel connected to the community around them.

Fostering doesn’t happen in isolation. It takes a whole community and we’re proud to be building

Thank you, Timpson.

Sometimes it’s the little acts of kindness that make the biggest difference.

When we found ourselves in a bit of a bind at an event, the fantastic team at Timpson on King Edward Street came to our rescue without hesitation. They genuinely saved our day, and we’re so grateful for their kindness and willingness to help.

It comes as no surprise, because Timpson has a long standing reputation for putting people first. Through the Timpson Foundation, the company supports care leavers into employment, offers work experience, guaranteed interviews and ongoing support, alongside its wider commitment to giving opportunities to people who need a second chance. It’s a business built on kindness, trust and community.

At Hull Fostering, we’re incredibly proud to recognise Timpson as one of our Fostering Friendly workplaces. Their support goes far beyond Hull, they have been championing children, families and communities across the country for many years.

Thank you to everyone at Timpson, especially the brilliant team on King Edward Street. Your kindness didn’t just help us on the day, it reminded us why businesses like yours make such a difference to local communities.

If your business would like to become part of Hull Fostering’s growing Fostering Friendly network, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can make life that little bit easier for the families who are changing children’s lives every single day.

Hull Fostering are incredibly proud of all the support shown by the team at Kingston Reapers who continue to go above and beyond for Hull’s fostering community. This is their third year of putting on this event and each year it just gets better and better!

As well as the excitement and buzz created by the game, we also have prizes to be won and cakes to be eaten. All thanks to our incredible foster carers from Together We Foster and Mockingbird.

We're incredibly proud to welcome Let's Tech Together as one of Hull's newest Fostering Friendly Workplaces.

Technology plays such a big part in family life, but when something isn't working, it can quickly become stressful. That's why this partnership means so much.

Let's Tech Together is passionate about helping people feel confident using technology. From friendly, patient support with phones, tablets and computers, to practical advice that helps people get the most from the digital world, they're committed to making technology accessible to everyone.

For our foster families, this support has the potential to be genuinely life changing. Whether it's helping solve everyday tech problems, building confidence with new devices, or simply being there with expert advice when it's needed, their knowledge and kindness will make a real difference.

Every child deserves a community that believes in them. Sometimes, it's the smallest acts of support from local businesses that make the biggest difference to children growing up in foster care.

Thank you to everyone at Let's Tech Together for standing alongside Hull Fostering and becoming part of our growing Fostering Friendly Workplace family. We're so proud to have you on board, and we can't wait to see the difference we'll make together.

If your organisation would like to become a Fostering Friendly Workplace and help support local children and foster families, we'd love to hear from you.

A huge welcome, and thank you, to Fantasy World for becoming a Hull Fostering Friendly Workplace.

When Hull Pride came around, they didn’t hesitate to support us, generously donating an incredible costume that brought smiles, laughter and so many conversations throughout the parade. It completely made the day.

Acts of kindness like this help us raise awareness of fostering in a way that is fun, welcoming and full of community spirit.

We’re so proud to have Fantasy World as part of our ever growing Fostering Friendly Workplace family.

Thank you for believing in Hull’s foster families. It really is an honour to have you with us.
