Were still looking for a few more stalls (craft, sweet. Baking etc) for the Bransholme fire station open day.

July 25th.

Bransholme fire station, Noddle Hill way. Hull

We would also like some inflatables (bouncy castles) if anyone can assist.

We also require an ice cream van and some hot food and drinks.

Salvage Exercise!!! 🚒🔥

Last night crews from Preston, Patrington and Withernsea worked aside the staff of Burton Constable Hall. Testing the salvage plan of the Hall should there ever be an incident that requires us to remove valuable objects to a place of safety.

The scenario was a fire within part of the building which required crews to extinguish the (make believe) fire 🔥and then due to smoke that had entered another part of the hall crews where tasked with salvage operations to retrieve valuable items.

Thanks to the site of the Burton Constable for allowing us do the exercise and working with us.

On monday night we had a visit from Hedon scouts, they came to the station to learn some fire safety as they are working towards their fire safety badges. We showed them around the fire engine and what equipment we have. And of course we let them have a go on the fire hose and practice some hose running.

Our sister station Bransholme fire station is doing an open day on Saturday 25th July.

This will be held at Bransholme station on Noddle Hill.

Is there anyone individually or any companies that would like to bring there craft/baking/sweet stall along.

This will also be free to attend. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

As long as the company/individual has there own insurance.

Were also on the look out for a company that can hopefully provide some inflatables, refreshments and food.

As this will be a charity open day all we ask is that you make it as reasonably prices as possible so that everyone attending has a great time and gets good value for money.

If you also feel like it a donation on the day that would be appreciated.

Times likely to be around 10.30ish to around 15.00 also weather dependent.

🚒 Think Before You Park 🚒

When vehicles are parked on both sides of a street, fire engines and other emergency vehicles often cannot get through. Every second counts in an emergency - blocked access could mean the difference between life and death.

✅ Park responsibly:
• Leave enough space for large vehicles to pass
• Observe parking signage and road markings
• Avoid double parking or mounting pavements
• Check before leaving your vehicle
