𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 – 𝘾𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙝𝙖𝙢 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙙
I am proud to announce that I am one of the prospective Conservative candidates for East Riding of Yorkshire Council in Cottingham South Ward at the election in May 2027.

I have chosen to stand because I care deeply about our village and community, and I want to use my energy, commitment, and experience to help make a real difference for Cottingham.

As a Parish Councillor, I have worked to stand up for residents on the issues that matter most, including dangerous driving, crime, and antisocial behaviour. I have carried out a local crime survey, raised concerns at Parish Council meetings, and spoken directly with residents and partner agencies to push for action.

I have also highlighted road safety concerns on busy routes such as Hall Road and Inglemire Lane, launched a petition for a pedestrian crossing on Endyke Lane, and met with the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner to raise local issues.

I am proud to support community events such as Cottingham Day, where I volunteer and serve on the organising committee, and the VE Day 80th Anniversary Afternoon Tea.

However, I have seen the limits of what can be achieved at parish level. That is why I am standing for East Riding Council—to be a stronger voice for Cottingham and deliver real results on the issues that matter.

I will not make empty promises to win votes. My commitment is simple: if elected, I will give everything I have to ensure Cottingham receives the strong and effective representation it deserves.

Over the coming months, I will be out speaking with residents and listening carefully to your views on what matters most.

Now they look set to back down after pressure from drivers, campaigners and Conservatives.

Good.

Driving is not a luxury in Beverley and Holderness. It is how people get to work, school, appointments and local businesses.

I’ll keep making sure our area has a voice at the national level.
