To keep going, sometimes you need to stop

When life is hectic, or when you feel like youโ€™re running on empty, itโ€™s important to stop and check how you are doing, especially if others rely on you.

Itโ€™s easy to get caught up in the everyday, but making time for yourself is key to feeling better more often. Because by giving yourself a regular break from the daily stresses and demands, and doing something simple like taking a breather or having a blether with a pal, youโ€™ll actually feel better and more able to take on whatever life brings.

Take a look at some of our tips and ideas, and see if you can fit them into your routine. There is even more information available on how feel better, less stressed and more in control at ProjectYou.scot. You can also sign up for free email support. Weโ€™ll send you a weekly reminder for 6 weeks to take time for yourself and try simple things to feel better more often.
