OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (Housing Support)
36 hours/week
Salary £32,479.20 per annum

Trust in Fife, a homeless charity working throughout Fife, are seeking a motivated, forward-thinking person for the newly created post of Operations Supervisor (Housing Support).

About Us

Trust in Fife operates two homeless accommodation hostels in Kirkcaldy providing support and guidance to people aged over 16 who have found themselves homeless. We also provide support to people in the private rented sector through the Fife Private Rental Solutions (FPRS) team. Our charity shop, The Cairn Centre, supports a team of volunteers and offers value for money products in the local community. All this helps us to work towards achieving our mission of taking positive steps towards assisting vulnerable and homeless people in Fife.

The Role

The post-holder will be a key member of the senior staff team with responsibilities relating to the positive and effective day-to-day management of operational support staff. Applicants are required to be interested in assisting clients through their homeless journey; have good communication skills; and be qualified to SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 9.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG Disclosure check; must have a current UK driving licence; and must be willing to apply for, and maintain, registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). A willingness to be part of an On Call team is also a requirement.

Experience of working within the voluntary sector would be advantageous but not essential.

🔍 Protect Yourself When Renting in Scotland 🔍

We're seeing an increasing number of cases where properties are being illegally sublet, leaving tenants at risk of losing both their money and their home.
Before signing a tenancy agreement or paying any money, take a few simple steps to protect yourself:
✅ Check the Scottish Landlord Register to ensure the property is registered.
✅ Confirm who the registered landlord or letting agent is.
✅ Never pay rent or deposits in cash.
✅ Make sure the bank account details you're given match the landlord or letting agent listed on the register.
✅ Be cautious if you're pressured to pay quickly or if anything doesn't seem right.
A few minutes of checking can save you from becoming the victim of a rental scam.

We’re looking for an Online Sales Assistant Volunteer to join the Cairn Centre team.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys finding good items, taking photos, researching products and selling online. You’ll help us make the most of the donations we receive by listing items on platforms such as Vinted, eBay and our online shop.

The role could include:

• Finding quality, higher-value items
• Photographing and researching products
• Creating listings and responding to enquiries
• Dealing with offers and reviews
• Packing items ready for posting

You don’t need to be an expert. We’ll provide training and support, and the hours are flexible.

It’s a great opportunity to learn new skills, gain experience in online retail and, most importantly, help raise funds to support the work of the Cairn Centre and people across Fife.
