It was great to have our Area Officer, Commander Gary Farmer, come down to the unit and conduct our biannual Royal Naval Parade (RNP). Commander Farmer met our cadets and watched some training, also spoke with parents and members of the Unit Management Team (UMT).
Commander Farmer also presented some awards and advancements to our cadets.

πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΌ Merry Christmas From Stewartry Sea CadetsπŸŽ…πŸΌπŸŽ„

What a year 2025 has been our cadets have grown massively in confidence, embracing every opportunity to learn new skills, challenge themselves, and support their community.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our cadets, the support of our parents and families, the donations from everyone and finally the hard work of our amazing volunteer staff β€” thank you all for everything you do.

As another year comes to an end here at Stewartry Sea Cadets and we wish you all a good Christmas and a happy New Year and we will see you all next year, roll on 2026!

On Sunday, our Sea Cadets made us incredibly proud by representing their unit at the Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas parades, although both wet parades our cadets still went out to show their respects.

A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, parents, and the local community for your continued support.

βš“οΈ Bravo Zulu Cadets, you’ve done us all proud. βš“οΈ

As well as our unit boating weekend at Derwenthaugh Boat Station, last week we also had 3 of our cadets head up to Boddam for the Northern Area Summer Camp along with Lt Young, PO Young and CI Young.

They all had a an amazing week doing sailing, fieldcraft, rowing, marine engineering and mountain biking.

Well done to them for gaining qualification at summer camp and showing what Stewartry unit is made of! πŸ‘Š
