Hillhead Housing Association 2000 is a community based housing association located in the Hillhead area of Kirkintilloch. We own and manage 871 properties for social rent, these are a mixture of ex local authority properties (formerly owned by East Dunbartonshire Council) and new build homes. We deliver our services to tenants and other customers from an office base in the heart of the Hillhead community.

The whole staff team had an excellent training session yesterday from Scottish Women's Aid. Sadly, domestic abuse remains an issue across the country, and at Hillhead Housing Association we are committed to supporting victims and survivors wherever possible.

Ever seen one of these out and about and wondered what actually happens at Andys Man Club?

When you arrive, one of our friendly facilitators will welcome you in and show you where to grab a brew and a biscuit.

The session then follows a simple 5 question format. The first three are always the same:

How’s your week been?
One positive from your week?
Anything to get off your chest?

We’ll then usually have a short break before finishing with two questions that might be funny, inspirational or thought provoking, sometimes as simple as “what’s your favourite sandwich?”

We pass a talking ball around the group so there’s never any pressure to talk. If you’re not ready, you can simply pass it on.

That’s it. No booking, no referrals and no pressure.

Just a room full of men, a brew, and a safe space to talk.

Every Monday 7-9PM (excluding bank holidays) for any man 18+ 👌

Never been to GRACE? Here's genuinely all you need to know.

We're a local charity, run by people with lived experience, and we support adults 18 and over who are rebuilding their lives after something hard. That could be addiction, mental health, homelessness, bereavement, or just feeling cut off from the world.

There's no waiting list, no referral, no obligation. You can just come in.

Two simple steps:

Pop into our community space at 22 Union Street, Kirkintilloch and have a chat with one of our volunteers.
Ask about the classes and pick whatever takes your fancy.
Most things are drop in, so there's no need to book. And if you'd rather not walk in cold, email us first and we'll look after you.

You don't have to do it all at once. Start with a cuppa.

It’s Recycling Week and the perfect opportunity to get used batteries out of your home.

Even a ‘flat’ button battery that no longer powers your device can still cause serious injuries.
If a child swallows one and it gets stuck in their food pipe, it can burn through the tissue and cause life-altering injuries or death.

The effects can vary but may include drowsiness, loss of coordination, memory loss, impaired vision, and difficulty walking or moving.
