West Lothian RAA Welcome to the website of the West Lothian branch of the Royal Artillery Association.

It is with a very sad heart that I have to report that Davey Thoms member of West Lothian Branch RAA passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Davey was a fantastic character and an even better man, he was known throughout not just the Scottish Region, but also to the wider RAA community. He enjoyed representing the Branch at National and Regional events, and until his health began to deteriorate he never missed a meeting.

A proud veteran of Borneo he wore his medal and hat with ultimate pride. He will he sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His funeral will take place on Tuesday 21st April 2022 at 1100hrs at Livingston crematorium, the West Lothian and RBLS standards will be in attendance along with other veterans.

All who knew him are welcome to attend.

He's now rightfully taking his place at the Battery bar in the sky. We will meet again until then stand down Brother Gunner EOM.

RIP UBIQUE

Jimmy is to be received into church on Tuesday evening the branch Standard will also be in attendance

Jimmy's daughter has expressed that she would be happy to see any Veterans who are attending in blazers, berets/TOS and medals.

Jimmy was one of a kind and very highly thought of throughout the RAA and beyond it would be very fitting to give him a send off he deserves.

If other Branch standards wish to attend please inform Dougie Crabbe so he can advise the family.
