Great progress from our newest firefighters πŸš’πŸ”₯
Last night marked another important step in development for our new recruits during their first week on the run. It’s safe to say they’ve hit the ground running β€” Sarah has already attended 2 incidents, while Zac has attended 3 in their first 5 days of being on call with us.
Last nights drill focused on bringing together the skills they’ve learned so far, combining them into a practical scenario to build confidence and operational awareness. It’s great to see them putting their training into action and continuing to develop as part of the team.
Well done both β€” a strong start to your operational careers

We have been made aware of children lighting fires in Dame Sarah Swift Park in Kirton.
This is not only irresponsible but also very dangerous. The fire can get out of control and spread very quickly.
Parents, please make sure your children are not taking matches or lighters out with them.

A fantastic evening here at Kirton as we welcomed Area Manager Matt King, Group Manager Dave Gilbert, and Councillor Hasan for our annual Senior Leadership visit πŸš’πŸ”₯It was especially great to welcome Matt back to the station where his career began 29 years ago β€” a proud moment and a real reminder of the opportunities and progression within our Service. Thank you to everyone who visited, shared time with the crew, and showed their continued support for the hard work our team does every day πŸ‘πŸ‘

This weekend the Boston May Fair is in town, this is an amazing tradition that has been happening for 900 years.

Today the local crew has completed one of its regular visits to the fair, to make sure all the hydrants are accessible if needed, along with good access to local shops and residential properties.

Happy May Fair everyone.
