Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday afternoon for Peter Holmes’ fascinating talk on Espionage – exploring the history, development and misconceptions surrounding the world of spying.

It was wonderful to see so many people there, and we hope you enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did.

Our next history talk takes place on Tuesday 10 November, 2–3pm: 🚢 The RMS Laconia Incident of 1942 – the naval disaster no one's heard of; a remarkable wartime story of German heroes and American villains.

🌟 Your voice matters!

Earlier this year, our library hosted a drop-in session with the Regional Martha’s Rule Engagement Lead from the NHS. Members of our community had the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and feedback.

We're pleased to share this infographic, which reflects the views gathered through engagement activities like the one held at our library. It's fantastic to see local people playing a part in shaping changes that will support children, young people and families across the region.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make a difference.

We had a great time completing the word searches and mazes for the Detention Diaries at Knaresborough Library on Saturday. The Detention Diaries bookmarks were very popular (especially with the grow ups who made up detention for their children!!) The Reading Agency KidsBloomsbury
