It’s always wonderful to welcome new faces and see friendships beginning to grow 💕

Today we enjoyed another delicious homemade lunch, lovingly prepared by Julie 👩‍🍳
As always, it was absolutely gorgeous! 😋

A big thank you to everyone who joined us today. We’re so pleased to see our Lunch Club continuing to grow and become a place where everyone feels welcome and included.

🫴 The Knaresborough Inn Gives Back!

Each year The Knaresborough Inn community choses a charity that we wish to support, raise money for, and advocate on behalf of. I

n 2026 our staff has chosen to support Knaresborough and Harrogate Community Support Services - a local charity based at Chain Lane Community Hub; dedicated to helping and supporting older and other vulnerable people. KHCSS is such an important charity helping people in our community stay as independent as possible through many different programs and activities.

So far in 2026 we have raised over £2000+ through our weekly quiz nights, our charity cake available on the bar, through our bake sale earlier in the year and through the generous donations of staff and guests alike.

🎉☀️ Yesterday we had our very own end of summer celebration at Lunch Club…because any excuse for a party! 🥳

We had a fantastic afternoon filled with plenty of fun, dancing 💃🕺 and delicious mocktails 🍹

It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and making some more happy memories together.

A huge thank you to Chain Lane Community Hub for our lovely new kitchenette too! It looks fantastic and made tidying up after lunch so much easier!

A lovely afternoon spent with one of our wonderful clients

Today included a delicious lunch followed by a games afternoon with his regular support worker, who he sees every week.
It’s lovely to see the friendship and connection they have built and how much they both enjoy their time together 🎲😊

It also gives his wife the opportunity to enjoy some much needed time out, knowing that he is safe, happy and enjoying himself.

Today we said a very special goodbye to our Head of Care, Clare.
Clare has been a huge part of our team for an incredible 16 years!! 💙

Clare’s kind heart, caring nature and dedication have touched so many lives over the years.
She will be sadly missed by every single member of our team, our trustees, our clients and their families.

Clare, you truly are a very special person, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had you as part of our journey for so many years.

Our Lunch Club is about so much more than a freshly prepared meal. Along with enjoying a delicious lunch and friendly conversation, we have lots of fun with quizzes, games and activities designed to keep the brain active, encourage laughter, and bring people together.

It’s a wonderful way to reduce loneliness, boost wellbeing, and give people something to look forward to each week.
