A huge congratulations to all the businesses and organisations that helped turn Knaresborough pink for FEVA this year. It was a closely fought competition, but here are the top four:

FEVA is officially open, with our Mayor Shan Oakes opening the festival and celebrating the fantastic work of the FEVA team.

Congratulations to Gwen Lloyd and the FEVA team on receiving a Parliamentary Motion from Tom Gordon MP, recognising their 30 years of service to the town.๐Ÿ‘

This year, the competition will be judged by Knaresborough Town Criers, who will be visiting businesses throughout the festival to create the judging shortlist.

We're fortunate to have so many National Parks and green spaces in North Yorkshire. However, as we saw from the North York Moors National Park last year, these areas can also be vulnerable to fire.

We're helping our friends at North York Moors National Park spread the word about how a single disposable bbq, discarded glass bottle or cigarette can spark a major fire. This can spread quickly, damaging the landscape, wildlife, crops and local homes and businesses and risking the lives of the emergency services and farmers who fight to control it.

Stall applications are now open for the Knaresborough Christmas Market, which is on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December this year.

Stall prices vary according to their location in the Market Place. Due to significant demand, we have already sold out of gold tier stalls. However, we still have silver and bronze stalls available.

We particularly welcome:

๐ŸŽ„Produce of local or regional excellence
๐ŸŽ„Original Arts and Crafts or high quality handcrafted goods
๐ŸŽ„Stalls that enhance the seasonal atmosphere of the market
๐ŸŽ„New and innovative stalls

All traders must have public liability insurance with cover of no less than ยฃ5 million and must complete a risk assessment with their application.

If you are interested in applying for a stall at the market, you can find traders' information, booking conditions, the risk assessment template and a link to the application form at: www.knaresboroughchristmasmarket.co.uk .

Please read the traders' information and booking conditions carefully before making an application and have your completed documents ready to upload. There is a 25% discount for Chamber members.

Hot food vendor applications will be by invitation only this year.

The Christmas Market is organised by The Rotary Club of Knaresborough, Knaresborough Chamber and Knaresborough Lions Club
