What is a Spotlight event?

✨ Last night, we hosted our Spotlight Event. This event is an important part of our matching process, helping us find the right families for the children waiting for adoption.

We welcomed a number of prospective adopters who had the opportunity to meet with our Family Finding Team, learn more about the children and gain a deeper understanding of their individual needs.

Events like these play a vital role in creating the right matches and helping children find the loving, stable homes they deserve 🧡

The adoption process usually takes around 12–18 months, and you’ll be supported every step of the way. You’ll have a dedicated social worker and access to training to help prepare you for the realities of parenting an adopted child.

Hannah began her adoption journey as a single applicant, although it felt daunting at first, she knew it was the right choice.

Her son came home at just 4 days old, and while supporting him to maintain links with his birth family, Hannah also began building a relationship with her daughter, who was still in foster care.

After positive introductions and transitions, her daughter joined them just 3 months later, completing their family 💛
