King Edward Road gets a makeover as part of Knutsford's Tidy Town Days

On Tuesday 18th August, residents came together to help improve access along the well-used footway.

It was a busy morning and the energy and enthusiasm from everyone who attended was fantastic. Around 40 hours of volunteer time went into to clearing overgrowth, leaf litter and to remove vegetation from the route.

Working together, the group made a noticeable difference in a short space of time, helping to make the footway tidier, safer and more welcoming for residents. A second session is due to be arranged to finish the job along to Ash Court.

We would like to thank everyone who gave their time to help make the tidy town day such a success

The town council will be holding further Tidy Town Days throughout the year. Anyone who would like to register an interest, please get in touch with Jeanette Hine at [email protected] or contact the council offices on 01565 653929.

Are you available to help on Tuesday 25th August at 10am?

Following the success of its recent community improvement days on Sparrow Lane and King Edward Road, we are once again calling on local volunteers to join its Tidy Town Day to help clear debris and overgrown vegetation that have narrowed the route from Kenilworth Avenue to Manor Park South.

All tools and gloves will be provided, and volunteers will help remove the build-up of bramble and weeds and dig out the old dirt and leaves with the aim of restoring the path to its original width.

If you would like to get involved, please contact Jeanette Hine at [email protected] or contact the council offices on 01565 653929.
