For nearly 400 years Tatton Park was the property of the Egerton family.
(2426)

This much-loved, historic estate is home to an impressive 18th Century Mansion, award-winning Gardens, a rare breed Farm, medieval Old Hall and over 1,000 acres of picturesque deer park. Today it is one of the UK’s most complete historic estates and home to an 18th Century Mansion, 50 acres of beautiful gardens, a rare-breed farm, medieval Old Hall and 1,000 acres of picturesque deer park. Our spe

ciality shops, restaurant, adventure playground, events and education programmes combine to make Tatton one of the most popular family days out in the North West. The Old Hall was the estate manor house until the late 17th century, when work commenced on a new house. The neo-classical Mansion, is celebrated for its Gillows furniture and collection of ceramics, paintings and books. The library collection is considered one of the finest in the National Trust.

50 acres of beautiful Gardens reflect over 250 years of garden design. The Gardens are renowned for their remarkable glasshouses, the Japanese Garden, considered the finest in Europe, and the extensive Kitchen Gardens. The 40 acre historic Farm is a must-see for everyone. Say hello to rare breed animals including Red Poll cattle, Clydesdale horses, Leicester Long-wool sheep and Tamworth pigs to name just a few! In its heyday, the Farm was at the heart of the vast Egerton estate feeding family, guests and servants in the Mansion. Experience this fascinating story through our 'Field to Fork' exhibition and enjoy themed events and demonstrations with every season. Herds of Red and Fallow deer roam freely in 2,000 acres of parkland. The meres, woodlands and rough grassland provide a perfect habitat for wildlife. The parkland is a stunning setting for a leisurely stroll or high-octane cycle. Children adore the adventure playground. Tatton also hosts over 100 events a year including the RHS Flower Show, foodies and music festivals, car shows, outdoor cinema, charity runs, numerous learning courses and much more. Everything you see and experience at Tatton Park is managed and financed by Cheshire East Council on behalf of the National Trust. Every penny spent by our visitors stays here and helps support the vital work that Tatton Park and Cheshire East Council do to ensure it is here for future generations to enjoy, from caring for all our animals and wildlife to conserving our listed buildings, protecting thousands of treasured collections and maintaining this unique Green Heritage site.

🎨✨ Watch as Canaletto’s masterpieces come alive beyond their frames… gondolas glide across mantlepieces, figures gather among treasured books, and swirling brushstrokes spill across walls and furniture like the ebb and flow of a Venetian canal.

🌊🎭 Experience The Flow of the Little Canal; a mesmerising digital artwork by Illuminos , part of the 2026 Beyond the View: Canaletto exhibition in the Mansion at Tatton Park.

🖼️✨ This immersive projection-mapped installation reimagines young Samuel Egerton’s time in Venice, bringing echoes of his journey 300 years ago into the very fabric of Tatton itself.
