Breaking News.

After cleaning, treating, cooling, heating and moving over 300 tonnes of water and the various works involved, we are now open for pool business.

First lane swims and a full pool timetable are available from tomorrow the 3rd September.

Our new term timetable is also attached.

We’re back after the September long weekend! Our next 4-week block starts Tuesday 15th & Wednesday 16th September 🏊

Pleased to report we’re at maximum duck!

Tomorrow, we’ll begin heating and treating our water so it’s swim ready for later next week.

Good news!

Upgrades are complete and we’re now on high level duck alert, as we slowly refill the pool.

More pictures of floating ducks to follow.

We’re grateful to our Trustees, our staff team, John Gillies Joinery, Murray MacLean and Aqua Leisure Ltd in making these repairs and upgrades happen.

We’re also very grateful for your fundraising efforts and the financial contributions from The Highland Council in supporting this refurbishment work.

Hello everyone! 👋🏼

A wee update regarding our Highlife swimming lessons! 🏊‍♀️

We’ll be running a 4-week block starting after the September long weekend, with lessons beginning on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th. This gives us a little extra time following our pool upgrade!

📲 Please have a look at your online account - many of our swimmers have progressed to the next class. Your new lesson times are now available to view, please call or email if you have any enquiries 😀

We’ll be running Swim Schools at the start of September (all being well after our pool upgrade!) These sessions can be booked online one week in advance, giving everyone the chance to keep progressing in the water 🏊

We’re also delighted to be planning a block of new stamina and stroke analysis sessions after the October holidays. This will be perfect for swimmers who have completed their lessons but would like to continue improving their strokes, build stamina and further develop their swimming skills. 🌟 More to come on this soon! If your child would be interested, please pop in the comments what evenings would work so we can start working away behind the scenes.

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back after the break and see all our amazing swimmers back in the pool 💜

We thought we'd give you an update on our pool refurbishment.

The pool is now all regrouted, tiles repaired, the filters changed, sumps updated and the underwater lighting all upgraded to LEDs.

We've also used the down time to tidy some of the loose tile work changing-side, refresh flaking paint and make general repairs where necessary - the sheer volume of people through our doors leads to a lot of wear and tear.

The steam room has been updated and will be operational when the pool reopens.

Now the eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed the 7-metre scaffold that's just appeared in the drained pool, but if you haven't noticed, we can assure you it's there!

Well, here's the reason for the scaffold. Since the pool being drained always carries some risk, and therefore has only happened a few times in our history, we thought we'd take the opportunity to explore if our roof has sufficient load capacity to be fitted with PV Solar panels, if we choose to make that upgrade in the future. The engineer work done this week will inform that possibility.

It'll also mean that the added work has set us back a few days on reopening, so we anticipate the timescale in reopening the pool to now be Thursday the 3rd September (we'd initially planned for the 31st August); only a few days late. The gym remains open throughout all this work.

As always, we thank you for all your support, without which, we wouldn't be able to do all this work.

And finally, over the next week, we'll publish our new timetable and plans for resumption of swimming lessons.

A reminder that the gym will be closed tomorrow as our Team help out with the Kids' Races at the Gala.

The pool is still undergoing its renovation work and we'll give a picture update on this progress next week.

Ladies, this one’s for you! 💪 Join us every Monday from 6–7pm for our dedicated Ladies Only Hour at the gym! 🏃🏼‍♀️

A welcoming, supportive space where you can feel comfortable, confident and enjoy your workout alongside other women. 💕 This includes both the main gym area and the weights section, with staff available to help with equipment if required.
