Suffolk Highways are planning to carry out improvement works in your area.
What will we be doing?
Phase 1 - Surface dressing
Phase 2 - Road marking and stud reinstatement
Where will we be doing it?
Highbridge Gravel Drove, Lakenheath and Sedge Fen Road, Lakenheath
What are the times and dates of the works?
Phase 1 – Friday 19 June to Monday 22 June from 8am to 5pm
Phase 2 – Friday 10 July to Tuesday 14 July from 8pm to 5am
What traffic management will be in place?
While we are working, a road closure will be in place for the safety of highway users and our operatives.
Surface dressing is a very quick process but is also weather dependent. We have scheduled a time window to give us the best chance of completing the work successfully. Please note that the road closure is unlikely to last for the entire duration stated above.
What is the diversion route?
B1112, Eriswell Road, Mildenhall Road, Holywell Row, A1101, Farthing Drove Beck Row, Burnt Fen, Farthing Drove, Sedge Fen, Newmans Grove, Lakenheath and vice versa.
What do I need to know about the temporary road closure?
Road closures are sometimes essential for the safety of road users and our operatives. If you are based within the closure, we will maintain access where possible. However, there may be times when access is delayed or restricted. Please plan your journeys accordingly and speak to operatives on-site if you require further information.
The latest updates on our works can be found on the One.Network website.
Works were not carried out as advised. What is happening?
Sometimes we are unable to complete works as planned. This could be due to vehicles parked on the road, or because of a variety of other reasons often beyond our control.
If we need to make major changes to our works dates, we will update the information signs on site. You will also receive another letter advising of the new date in advance.
